St. Andrew Presbyterian Church offers several opportunities to gather together and study God’s Word and discover what it is saying to the Church even today. We invite you to join us and discover the Good News for yourself.
Sunday School Sunday School classes meet every Sunday morning at 9:30am while the public schools are in session. Over the summer, we invite you to join us for Coffee Talk at 10am while the Sunday School teachers enjoy a much deserved sabbatical. Below you will find some information on particular classes.
The Westminster Class – The Westminster class meets in the Westminster room in front of the sanctuary. This class uses The Present Word curriculum and occasionally supplements it with studies from The Thoughtful Christian.
The Pastor’s Study – The Pastor’s Study meets in the Barmen room in the education wing. This class studies the texts that will be preached in the coming weeks to prepare its members to listen attentively to the sermon to help the pastor prepare for those sermons with the questions raised in this class in mind.
Elementary+ – The Elementary+ class meets in the Heidelberg room in the education wing. This class uses the One Room Sunday School curriculum to teach elementary age children and older.
Coffee Talk – This class meets in Grisso Hall and replaces Sunday School during the summer months. There is no curriculum for this class; instead, this class meets each week to discuss a different question posed by one of its members including… Why do Presbyterians say debts instead of trespasses in the Lord’s Prayer? What does it mean when we say he descended into hell in the Apostles’ Creed? What ever happened to Nathanael after John 1:43-51?

Other Opportunities for Study
Presbyterian Women The Presbyterian Women of St. Andrew Presbyterian church are part of the national organization of Presbyterian Women and participate in national and regional events. For more information about Presbyterian Women, click on the logo to the left..

The St. Andrew Presbyterian Women have two circles that meet monthly. Both circles use the Horizons curriculum. Those circles meet as follows:
Circle When Where Day Third Thursday of the Month @ 10:30am Church Night Second Monday of the Month @ 7:00pm The Homes of its Members
Friendship Bible Study This class is designed for people with intellectual disabilities and uses a curriculum designed with people with a variety of special needs in mind. For more information on this class, see the Special Ministry tab.
Seasonal Bible Studies Throughout the year, our pastor teaches topical studies as requested by members of the congregation. The studies use a variety of curriculums. Past studies have examined the Psalms, the prophet Hosea, the spiritual discipline of lectio divina, the book The Shack, and the virtues that the season of Advent can teach us.

Summer Camp Because the Presbytery of the Pines has closed Camp of the Pines, St. Andrew will be sending children to Ferncliff this summer. Ferncliff is the camp of Arkansas Presbytery and is located just outside of Little Rock. The camp offers a traditional camping experience including swimming, fishing, hiking, canoeing, crafts and games in a Christian environment with daily worship and Bible study.
